The right au pair for the right Family

Procedure

The process between your decision to get an au pair and welcoming the dream au pair on your doorstep might seem challenging and long, however, our agency will work diligently and professionally to make everything right and in the shortest possible terms. Both host family and au pair will receive all necessary support, assistance, and guidance throughout the whole process before and after au pair’s arrival to the Netherlands. Here are the main stages of the process.

Registration

There is no registration fee and registration is optional. However, we suggest you register and enter all the information you consider as necessary about your family. It is recommended to attach a letter in your profile, where you describe your family life, leisure, and interests and add some pictures. This information will be used to introduce your family to the au pair, however, family profile and pictures will be sent to au pairs only after your approval.

Interview

After the registration, one of our qualified managers will contact you to make an arrangement for the home visit and intake interview. During the interview, we will get acquainted with your family and together will define the preferences and needs of your family. In addition, we will determine whether the potential host family and the living conditions the for potential au pair meets preconditions set by Immigration and Naturalization Service (IND).

Signing the contract

After the host family has been approved, we will sign the mediation agreement.

Search and introduction of au pair candidates to the host family

After signing the mediation agreement, we start searching for au pair candidates in our database which meet your family's needs. You will be introduced the most suitable candidates and will be offered the contact details of the candidates, which you would like to have closer contact with.

Entry and residence procedure

After the host family has made the final agreement with the au pair, the agency will start the entry and residence procedure. We will help to organize all necessary documentation and submit au pair’s application to get a temporary entry permit  (MVV) and regular residence permit (VVR).  After the au pair’s application has been approved, the agency will notify both parties and the au pair will be able to pick up  MVV in Dutch embassy or consulate located at au pair’s current place of residence. VVR is to be collected in Immigration and Naturalisation Office upon au pair’s arrival to the Netherlands.  The citizens of some countries may not require a visa to enter the Netherlands, however, they will need residence permit VVR.

Formalities after arrivals and additional services

We will also guide you throughout the formalities after au pair’s arrival (such as registration in  Municipal Personal Records Database (BPR), tuberculosis test, etc). In addition, we can assist in travel arrangement,  help to get the required health and liability insurances, etc
